MLB High Def Streaming Baseball: Awesome.

April 29th, 2009

If you’re a baseball fan, the MLB High Def Streaming Baseball package MLB.TV Premium is one of the best Internet applications for a professional sports fan ever at just $19.95 a month. It looks to be at least 1080i HD. The NCAA March Madness streaming through CBS.com was also excellent, but the quality of the broadcast with MLB.TV is as if I were watching it on my HDTV. Just look at this sequence of Mike Fontenot of the Cubs hitting a two run homer against Arizona tonight:

The fullscreen is insane at High Definition:

See other games scores and simply click on them to watch their feed, with a changeable view of 1, 1 + PIP, side by side and a 2×2 grid configuration, with in-game alerts at the bottom right corner of any players you want to follow, or the current game you’re viewing. Just drag and drop the game in any open window:

I don’t get paid for marketing MLB – at least not yet – but this package is worth every Brad Penny if you’re a baseball fan. This is what we’ve dreamed of since we were kids watching The Jetsons and Star Trek in terms of futuristic, on-demand live entertainment. It’s that incredible. And it’s available. Right now.
