SWAIM (Slander Without Any Inherent Meaning) is one of my favorite sections at cracked.com. I particularly like the video about “rap-talker” Speak (“Stop the War”). With such prose as:
“sometimes people make a war”
“Tupac Shakur rest in peace…”
Doesn’t sound funny now but just watch, I won’t ruin it. Comment away.
New at Archie McPhee’s, your very own PWNED pennant:
Here is the description:
Take this PWNED pennant with you to your next LAN party. "PWNED" is a mispelling of the word "owned" adopted by Internet gamers to describe a crushing defeat. Each 25" long pennant is made of soft felt.
If you are a fan of Family Guy or American Dad, you’re familiar with the awesomeness that is Seth McFarlane. But did you know he has his own website at sethcomedy.com? As with all of McFarlane’s comedy antics, his characters are funny, stupid, profane, sometimes enlightening, and did we mention funny? According to the 2009 Webby Awards site, Seth McFarlane wins Film + Video Person of the Year for his work with sethcomedy.com and distribution in Google’s content network:
The Webby Awards is thrilled to honor Seth MacFarlane with the Webby Award for Film and Video Person of the Year, in recognition of his Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy animated videos distributed through Google’s content network and on sethcomedy.com. Truly embracing the power of the Internet to reach an audience, MacFarlane has boldly stepped into the arena of original web content-meets-advertising, successfully lending his creativity and humor to a burgeoning industry.
Here is one of our favorites from Seth’s site (warning: language):
Among the other Webby Awards winners of 2009 are Trent Reznor, Jimmy Fallon, Lisa Kudrow, Sarah Silverman and Twitter. Read more about the award winners here. The 13th Annual Webby Awards Celebration will be held June 8, 2009 in New York City.
Looks like the ladies over at mstaken.com have decided to offer up a response to last year’s smash SNL Digital Short, “Jizz in my Pants” by Lonely Island (Fred Armisen and Andy Samberg of SNL) in like kind: by going digital. The new digital short is called “Puke in my Mouth” and shows off a giant but convincing fake diamond engagement ring (available for sale at their site, of course) as a way to keep the drunk losers off:
The freaks come out at night. They glom onto your elbow, disrupt your conversations and worst of all, they freeze out the real hot prospects.
…which of course is a perfect time to look at the original “Jizz in my Pants” video by Lonely Island:
